Location: Mr. D'z Diner, Route 66, Kingman, Arizona, USA
I fell in love with the retro aqua and pink vibes of this diner in Kingman, Arizona. It sits on the historical Route 66 so if you're road tripping through the Southwest you're bound to come across it at some point. No surprise, the decor was much more appealing than the food.
I'll be putting up another post of this outfit without my denim jacket on but I wanted to first highlight how amazing this jacket is. It is one of my favorites not only because it's super cute but because I found it at a flea market in Berlin. It's one of a kind, just the way I like it. Oversized, tie dyed, and studded. Love at first sight.
Also there's something so satisfying about being able to say "Oh I got it while I was abroad" or "Oh I got it at a flea market" (in this case both! double points wooo!) when someone asks me where I got a piece of clothing. I'm competitive by nature. So I'm naturally also competitive with my clothes. Yes I shop at Urban Outfitters, Zara, Free People, etc. But I really find my fashion happiness when I can be 80% or more positive that no one else has a piece of clothing I have or that I at least chose a piece of clothing not many other people would wear.
I like being unique. Anddddd I like looking cooler than I actually am. This jacket fulfills both of these requirements.
