It's An LA Winter
Wearing: The Fifth Label Coat, Free People Sweater, Hudson Jeans, Puma Sneakers, and Céline Bag
Location: Malibu, California
Winter in LA is well...not really winter according to most people's standards. But I'm still always freezing!
Since 60 degrees and sunny means cold, cold, and cold for me, my The Fifth Label Walking Home Coat has been my best friend for the past month! I am such a fan of oversized items, it's insane. I'll even buy sweaters and jackets a size too big so that they will fit me as oversized pieces. It's just so much more comfortable! Although a lot of people worry about being swallowed up by oversized items, I personally never feel like I'm drowning in my larger pieces. I just have to make sure that I'm pairing them with more fitted pieces. This way I create outfits that are not so overwhelming. With this look I wore a Free People Moonshine V-Neck Pullover underneath for some added warmth!
It was a bit of a warmer day when I shot this look so I decided to go with my new Puma x Solange sneakers rather than the usual black booties. When I was in the store I couldn't decided whether to get the baby blue ones or the yellow ones. I am SO glad I went with yellow! I love how they add a pop of color to any look I wear them with. It's definitely a plus that they perfectly match my Céline Phantom Bag.
Lastly, it's really difficult for me to find a pair of flattering cropped jeans because I'm pretty short. But these Hudson jeans really do the job. The jeans are cut to the perfect length, right above my ankles, and the black strip that runs down the side of them help to elongate my legs. As always, I'm sooooo pro colored pieces. If you've been waiting to grab that pair of colored jeans, definitely go for it!
